Thank you to all those who responded so quickly following the call for information from British citizens living in the EU who had not been able to exercise their rights to vote in the European Election in the UK, by post or by proxy.
The volume of responses illustrated the need to create a standardised way of collecting what you had experienced in order to ensure that any subsequent legal challenge would be supplied with consistent data supporting such a challenge.
So, we have a new request that you use this link below to complete a standard questionnaire, even if you have already sent us some details:
It can take as little as 5 minutes; we hope you will understand why we are asking this. Your participation will be much appreciated.
A few notes about the survey
- The basic content has been requested by lawyers as a way to give them the data they need to assess whether there may be a potential legal case
- There is a reason (legal) for including questions about people’s working status
- The survey includes conditional routing so you will see different questions depending on your answers to previous questions
We’d also like to say a huge thank you to all those who responded to the intial crowdfunder which raised the finance needed to enable a scoping exercise to be launched by the legal team. We hope to be able to give an update on next steps in the second half of June.
EU citizens living in the UK should complete the form here.
